Nigerian Held for Staying on Forged Visa

A man belonging to Nigerian nationality has been held for staying in Goa on a forged visa. The arrest of the said man has been made by the Calangute police on the grounds of staying in the country on a forged visa.

Calangute police PI Jivba Dalvi said that the police department had received in the information from Foreigners Registration Office, Panaji about a man of Nigerian Nationality, Udoka Stanley Iwala, 32 staying in Khobrawado, Calangute, without proper documents as required.

Calangute police traced the accused man and on investigation found that the information was true and the visa was a forged one. He has been arrested and has been charged under ections 468, 471 and 420 of the IPC, and Sections 7 (1) (3) of the Foreigners Order Act, 1948, and Section 14 of the Foreigners Act.
